I am so excited to announce my new series, Lowcountry Landscapes!
Growing up, I spent many summers in Hilton Head and Charleston SC. I have so many fond memories watching the sunset over the marsh with my family. These nostalgia paintings remind me of the distinct sinky smell of the mud and the sound of the cicadas.
This series all started from a painting for my niece that had a marsh landscape with three little herons. Intrigued by painting marsh landscapes, I started creating mini paintings using gouache and eventually this series!
